First we were winning… then we hit a ceiling

Four years out of school, I had blown past every creative and financial goal I had set.

Then, something unexpected happened. We hit a financial ceiling. Whereas it was relatively easy to close jobs south of $200k, our close rate dropped precipitously once jobs edged north of $200k.

No matter what we tried, the results were the same. It was demoralizing to myself and the team. We tried doubling our efforts, created twice as many ideas, and spent even more money on new business pitches. Nothing.

My confidence waned. Was this it? Had we hit our peak? What were we missing?

The power of one small change

We expect that seismic, paradigm-shifting concepts create the most change, but it’s actually the small tweaks that takes someone from being pro to world-class.

It’s a lesson I learned from my late business coach— Keir McLaren. It took two coaching sessions before I learned that my sales approach was all wrong. It seems obvious, but Keir taught me how to say what I think and ask better questions. He challenged my assumptions of what I thought I was “allowed” to ask during a new business call.

When I applied what Keir taught me, my close ratio for $300k+ jobs more than tripled: from 20% to over 70%. As a result, our company grew from $2.2m to $3.9m in revenue in the first year. What are the Master/Mind annual dues?

The Master/Mind Membership is an annual investment of $36,000. Membership dues are invoiced at the start of your first year, and enrollment is rolling, which means you can join at any point in the year, as long as there is one of 100 seats available.

Can I reserve a seat if there aren’t any spots available?

Yes! You can hold your spot in line with a completely refundable $10,000 deposit. When a seat opens, applicants on the waitlist will have the first opportunity to join.

When do the calls happen?

The calls are held on a weekly basis, alternating between two times. We make it easy to join, no matter where you are in the world.

How do I know this is right for me?

What’s the deal with the quarterly events?

As a M/M Member, you'll have access to four exclusive retreats each year. These will be multi-day events dedicated to, well, you. Two retreats will be held online, and the other two will be in person.

How much time do I need to commit to the Master/Mind group?

Who is Chris Do?

Chris Do is an Emmy award-winning designer, director, CEO and Chief Strategist of Blind and the founder of The Futur—an online education platform with the mission of teaching 1 billion people how to make a living doing what they love.

He currently serves as the chairman of the board for the SPJA, and as an advisor to Saleshood. He has also served as: advisory board member for AIGA/LA, Emmys Motion & Title Design Peer Group, Otis Board of Governors, Santa Monica College and Woodbury University.
