What does this do if that's thecase, why is that happening?OK, you want to crystallizewhat they're saying? You want to getreally, really deep.Ok?the next thing it'sasking questions. This is to have amore smooth processthroughout thestrategic engagement. And again, you'redoing all of this stufffrom a very neutral place. We ask questions as we knowit's like the powerhouseof the group to gain knowledge, seek clarity, uncovertruth and guide enlightenment. You want them tohave an aha momentat the end of thestrategy sessionand feel like theydid it with youand you were there guidingthem to that nirvana.OK not all questionsare created equal,as Chris has toldus multiple times,so every question has a certaineffect on the recipient. So I know that why questionsare super important. But the way I like to think ofquestions, especially if you'rejust starting out thestrategic process,is you want to leadthem in a way thatmakes it easier to answer.Chris calls thisscaffolding, for example. What questions arethe easiest wayto start because they make theclient empowered to answer themquickly and easily?OK And then how questionsare the second hardest?Because they're modern, they require the recipientto kind of explain the thingsthat they're thinking aboutand then why questions iswhen you're getting deep. That's really criticalthinking and they'retalking about cause and effect. There is somebodythat's not muted. Can you please meet?Thank you.So Yes.I'm sorry to interrupt you.Can you please slow down?I really try. You're saying reallyinteresting thingsthat I'd like to writedown just a little bitand I barely keep up.OK, I got.I'm trying to go fast because Idon't want to take up the call. That's the thing.I want to make sure thatMelinda and Rachel, are youseeing some interesting things. And we follow.OK, I Gotcha.OK, I'll slow down.I'll slow down.I got you.Thank you for that comment.I appreciate it.OK I felt like Iwas talking fast.Probably the coffee.OK, so I'll slow down herein the strategy session. We want to make surethat the client feelsin ease to answer thequestions and not feel stuck.A of the questionsabout facilitationwere grounded and stuckness.OK the way to dothat is you don'twant to go in with avery difficult questionbecause they don't livein the world that we live.So we want to easethe question askingand reduce the anxiety level. So if you can seehere on the y axis,it's the question type on thex axis, it's the anxiety level. So the way we do that, asChris notes, it is scaffolding. What questions arethe easiest questionsto ask at the beginning, because you're setting upthe groundwork forthem to understandthe basis of what we're doing? How questions are alittle bit more difficult?Because they require peopleto take what they saidand as an answer in the whatquestion and break it down.So what is this? How did we go about doing it?And then the why questionis being able to criticallythink and provide reason? What's the cause andwhat's the effectif we were to start at whythe client would feel very.Very anxious, butalso not empoweredto answer the restof the questionsbecause they're going tofeel stupid because they'resuch a difficult question. So we want to go from 0 to10, not from 10 to zero. That's during the session.OK so the breakdown we want toease the recipients answeringprocess by gradually complexand the question asking sobuild context with the what?Expand on the context. And then providereasoning with the why?OK
