If you've been wondering what your next step for your streaming setup is, Chris Do recommends using sling studio. It's a self-contained system. The system is affordable. It's easy to use and you can do it yourself. You control it mostly via an iPad, so you just touch the screen and it picks that camera.

OK, David David, we havemany streaming setups.Let's talk about whichone you want to learnand what your budget isbecause it may or may notbe in your reach.Oh well, regarding gear, I havealready purchased the camera,a camera, stand microphones, lighting, acoustic panels. So basically I thinkI have everything. It's more about how to put thesetogether, how to connect to Ihave a MacBook that I could use.OK, OK, hold on.Hold on.You didn't answer myquestion, but that's OK.You want to do live streamingwith a multiple camerasetup or just one camera? While I would start with one andthen it goes back to improve,OK, you can live stream usingzoom, the video conferencingsoftware that we're onright now to YouTube,to Facebook and to whereveryou want with one camera. No problem. You can actually use itfor multiple cameras. You don't need any additionalsoftware or hardware. What you need to be ableto do is get your camerasinto your computer.Yeah about hdmi, USBconverter, whatever. There you go.So if you can get your camerainputs into your computer, then it should be ableto recognize that. And are you using thatcamera setup right now?I don't think so.No, it's not.So why don't we do this? It's at my friend's house,so I don't have it yet.Ok? the first stepwould be for youto join our calls usingyour video camera connectedto your computer so wecan see that it's workingaudio and everything else, ok?If the more sophisticatedyou want to go,the more moneyit's going to cost. And the more people. But the next biggerstep up is for youto buy the sling studio, sling sly and g studio. It's a self-contained system. We have two systems. That system is affordable. It's easy to use andyou can do it yourself. You control itmostly via an iPad,so you just touch the screenand it picks that camera. It can do some prettysophisticated things, too.All the after hours contentis using the sling studio.Beautiful thing. It's portable, there's batteries. It's self-contained, it'spretty plug and play. The other system we haverequires a lot more hardwaresoftware. It's quite expensive. And it's much morecomplicated to use.So first I woulduse Zoom and thenmove to sling studio when youwant multiple camera editing, live streaming. Most people don't need that.I would tell you this, though, before youinvest in all these othercameras and technologies,I would probably tell youto buy a teleprompter. What is that ateleprompter is somethingthat you put in front ofthe glass of your lensand it shows youwhatever you want to see.So if you write a script orif you have a keynote deck, you can send your signal out.And that way you can lookright into the cameraversus over here.OK, like right now, myteleprompter is not working,so I'm looking at the camera. But if I want to see you,I have to look over here. And breaking eyecontact, especially whenyou're saying somethingreally important or emotional,is not good. You'll want to keep maintain eyecontact with the person, right?OK, so I can put my keynotedeck on the teleprompteror your own face inthere if you want. You can loop the output fromyour camera to the teleprompterand you can see yourself.I can see whatever my video guyis showing them the Livestream, right? That's what we use it for.Yes OK.OK the I forget thebrand that we use.Oh, I know whatbrand it's called.I can.I can.I can.OK OK.It's about $800.You can buy itfrom being a photo. The monitor is not great, but it's good enough.Mm-hmm OK so Irecently look at this,so my teleprompteris right here, but I don't have ascreen, so I recentlypurchased another screen. You guys can see that right?so that I can put it here.So when I want to dokeynote deck or something,I would just feed my outputto this monitor and flip it.So then it can readit on the screen. And I'll look atit, and I'll justbe the smoothest I've everbeen just looking rightat the camera.OK OK.Yeah, and what about acoustics? That's just a wholeother beast, dude.Get in a room with alot of soft materials. What we do right now is we hangsound blankets on as much stuffin that room as we can.You want to havenon parallel walls.A lot of softmaterials, lower ceilingwith the acoustical foam.If you can do that, thesound quality will improve. If you can get a large diaphragmmicrophone close to your face,it's going tosound a lot better. So right now, I'musing the sure sm7b is a fantasticmicrophone is $350.It needs an amp, though. No, it doesn't.What am I doing dodo I need an amp?I think a cloud lifter, cloud lifter, which is like, what, another 60 bucks, 60 $100.Yeah, something like that.OK, good.Great thank you so much.Yeah
